North Ledaig Caravan Park is owned and run by Peter & Katy Weir along with son Tim and is a family-run business established in March 1962. Although affiliated to the Caravan Club we are also open to non-members with one area exclusively for Caravan Club & Motorhome club members and three smaller areas for both CC members & non-members.
Our 30 acre Caravan park has a spectacular sea-shore location with breathtaking views towards the distant islands and is conveniently located near to the picturesque town of Oban with ferry connections to the islands, making North Ledaig Caravan Park an ideal base for your holiday.
We are situated on a 2 mile sand and shingle beach on Ardmucknish Bay and all our pitches offer panoramic views to the beautiful Isle of Mull. Here sailing, water sports and safe bathing can be enjoyed by all the family, or just sitting enjoying the view and tranquility of your surroundings is all that is needed. You can take a scenic walk on the deserted shoreline to watch the wading birds, glimpse an otter or photograph the beautiful sunsets that we are renowned for.
The newly updated Route 78 Sustrans cycle path runs through our Park so you can safely enjoy the surrounding area by bike if you so wish, with most of the 26 mile section from North Ledaig to Ballachulish on a traffic free path, with a few sections on minor roads. Much of the path between North Ledaig and Ballachulish is built along the former railway line which ran from Connel to the Slate quarries near Ballachulish. This path has great views, hugging the coast for much of the way and is largely flat.
We are on the main bus route into Oban with the bus stop right outside the Park for easy access. Oban is a bustling fishing port and main ferry terminal for the Hebrides and Western Isles and there is also a bus to Fort William, so whether you want to chill on-site or investigate the local area, we can satisfy your needs!
